This Is Your Life |
Ms. Richard appeared on at least three different episodes of This Is Your Life, but always in honor of other people. To my knowledge, she never had a TIYL show done about her life. The second image appeared on page 20 of the 19-25 Feb 00 issue of Radio Times, a British weekly television schedule magazine. The original photo was credited to "Mark Harrison" and included eleven other well-known EE cast members. |

A Question of EastEnders |
EastEnders |
The Life and Times . . . montage of images does appear a bit washed-out, but I chose to leave it as is and present a larger image, rather than lose any more detail by heavy processing. I've been asked if the show was taped at Ms. Richard's residence. The answer is "no", it was at a house in Notting Hill; Wendy evidently preferred not to have film crews in her home. |

Holiday 2001 |
Top image: Wendy said the whole ship was fantastic; she really couldn't pick out one particular favorite feature. Her favorite Caribbean beach, though, was the Bahamian island Blue Lagoon (bottom right image in montage). In regard to her Lilly Savage Show appearance: Wendy said that she was allowed to keep for herself this eye-catching tailor-made dress. However, the diamond necklace she was lent to wear -- worth a quarter of a million pounds -- she sadly had to return after the show. |

The first photo is from April, 2001, at North Watford Cemetery (north of London, and about five miles northwest of the Elstree studio in Borehamwood), standing-in for fictional Walford Cemetery. Wendy commented that it'd rained recently and that meant being extra careful walking over the soft ground in those high heels. Also, the brooch she's wearing is in the shape of an orchid and was actually sent her by a fan. The actress with Wendy is Letitia Dean. |

Celebrating Molly Sugden |
In the last image: Wendy is indeed
kitted out as Pauline Fowler, but notice the television camera dolly
in the background, which tags this as being a rare look behind the
scenes of EastEnders. |

From one of the ongoing storylines Top: Pauline confronts Lisa with a bit of evidence. What could it be? Bottom: a few moments after Pauline slapped Lisa. |

Radio Times calendar |
While this image appears in the Radio Times 2007 wall calendar, the shoot was of course done much earlier the previous year. Wendy, as Mistress Page from The Merry Wives of Windsor, appears on December's page along with long-time TV and stage actor Rudolph Walker (as Falstaff), who has played the EastEnders character of Patrick Trueman since 2001. The calendar complemented a similarly-themed Radio Times article in August of 2006. |
